Anne-Marie Duchene
Hellerwork Practitioner
Good morning Todd:
I wanted to thank you for the great MSP training class last Thursday. As a new BNI member, I am thrilled to see that the organization that I have joined invests in educating their members at the elementary level in business networking. In the way that I perceive it, it is a lot like the "Beginner's Mind" philosophy that helps to keep us all in check, authentic and humble.
I left invigorated and more invested in supporting my own president (Debra Bock who is doing a great job), the success of my BNI "tribe", (chapter 42) and the organization as a whole.
I look forward to visiting your chapter & connecting with more BNI warriors.
Many thanks,
Anne-Marie Duchene - Chapter 42

BNI has been part of my marketing plan for over 5 years now. It has been the jumping off point for so much of my client base. The relationships that I’ve built over these past years are somehow responsible for about 90% of my business. If I track back how I initially met my biggest clients, I can run through several connection layers that will usually end with a BNI connection. BNI allowed me to get into VERY diverse business and social circles that have provided a multitude of valuable connection. In addition, it has given me access to a massive group of vendors that I get to know very well before I use and refer them. My success has been amplified tremendously thanks to BNI.

I joined Manhattan BNI almost 4 years ago to the date. In the time that I have spent with Chapter 21 I have served on the Membership Committee, Event Coordinator, and was later elected to become President for 2 years. More recently, I have been honored with the role of Assistant Director in this region and currently have 3 chapters that I assisting with growth, generating business, and growing their chapters.
In the last 2.5 years I have discovered that I have received over a 1/3 of my business from this networking avenue and have secured priceless contacts for my clients that I will know for the rest of my life. The members of my chapter have become more than people that I see on a weekly basis and are trying to “connect the dots” with- they have become my second family. These people look out for my better interest and have me in mind when they deal with their own respective clients.
Above the fact that I am now making more money because I joined BNI- I have also become a tremendous asset for to all of my clients- which has generated even more referrals. They now know that I am more than a sales representative for my organization, but someone that can get them people for anything their business may require. BNI has also given me the ability to have accountability for any of the referrals that I have passed by seeing my chapter on a weekly basis and having a personal relationship with my members.
Thanks to BNI I have remained among the top 3 within my company nationally since I joined and it continues to keep me fresh on my pitch a

JHM Lifecoaching
"At a time where the world can seem like a dangerous place with an unstable economy, there is one true comfort I have found in my life and business. That comfort comes in the form of three letters "BNI" and it has proven time and time again to be a source of growth in all areas of my life. Having attended numerous different types of networking event's, the one constant that has proven effective to grow my business is my participation within my chapter and empowering the motto of "giver's gain". In my experience as a coach, doing one thing at a 100% (such as attending my BNI chapter every week) can prove more effective then doing multiple things at 50% when it comes to networking. I should know as my business has grown 200% in one year!"
Respectfully,
Joshua Miller

Harriet R. Goren Design
I'm Harriet R. Goren, designer and art director for the Web and print. I joined BNI Chapter 7 right after I struck out on my own in 2002. The economy was in bad shape, and I had no idea if I could find clients--but knew I wanted to make a go of it. My first few meetings were both terrifying and exhilarating, as the camaraderie and atmosphere of genuine support helped me get over a fear of public speaking and gain confidence in the art of selling myself and my services. My business soon grew and thrived, due in great measure to the referrals and encouragement of my fellow members. I learned that BNI was not only a source of wonderful friendships (and good laughs at a ridiculously early time of day), but also of invaluable advice. My BNI colleagues are always around to answer questions and offer help. I was honored to be able to give back to the group by serving as vice president, an amazing learning experience about how to run an organization. Especially for sole proprietors, BNI is an indispensable--and fun--business tool.

DMG Consulting, LLC
I joined BNI almost 6 years ago. At that time I had never attended any type of networking event and I didn't have any public speaking experience. My business consisted of me and only me.
In the last 6 years my business has grown 10 times in annual revenue, I routinely speak in public, I have 5 full time employees and well over half of my vendors are people I have met through BNI (telecomm, copier, web design, accountant, dentist, florist, personal and corporate insurance, declutter expert, credit card processing - just to name a few). BNI referrals now account for 30% of my monthly revenue. Not only am I still in BNI but I have one of my employees in another chapter and she is bringing in new business!
On a personal level many of the people I speak to daily, eat lunch with and see on the weekends are people I met through BNI.
I give BNI credit for the past and current growth of my company. BNI has been a dream for me and my company. I can't image what my Thursday mornings would be like without my weekly meeting. The meeting gets me pumped up and ready to take on another crazy day!

Sign Expo Tribeca
My name is Evan Swartz of Sign Expo Tribeca and a current member of BNI NY
Chapter 1. I have been a member of BNI for about 5 months now and I love
it. Words cannot adequately express the positive impact I have had from
being a member of BNI. From the extensive training that I received from
the organization to the people I have met and have grown to form lasting
friendships.
From the first meeting I attended, the members of my chapter made me feel
right at home. From our President's ability to keep our meetings lively
and on a tight schedule to the welcomed feeling I felt that first day.
Since joining BNI Chapter 1, I have increased my sales by over 30% and
have built a well rounded network of qualified professional contacts in a
diverse array of fields so I can be a resource for my customers in a
number of arenas. This is a fantastic organization and I strongly
recommend BNI to any business professional who would like to grow in
business and personally.
